What is Medical Eye Care?
Medical eye care covers conditions that affect the health of the eye, not just how clearly you see. Dr. Larson provides diabetic eye exams, glaucoma evaluations and management, cataract evaluations and surgery referrals, urgent eye care when the office is open, surgical co-management, and pre and post-op LASIK care.
How does it work?
Diagnosis starts with advanced imaging: the Topcon Maestro OCT for a 3D view of the retina and optic nerve, the Humphrey HFA3, the gold standard visual field test, and Telescreen photos of the front of the eye. Results are tracked over time so small changes are caught early.
What are the benefits?
- Diabetic eye exams with results shared with your doctor
- Glaucoma testing with OCT and Humphrey visual fields
- Cataract evaluations and referrals to trusted surgeons
- Urgent eye care for red eyes, injuries and infections when in office
catch changes early with advanced imaging
Many eye diseases cause no symptoms until vision is already affected. People with diabetes, a family history of glaucoma, or high blood pressure benefit most from regular medical eye exams. If you notice new floaters, flashes of light or a curtain over your vision, call right away.
