What is Comprehensive Eye Exam?
A comprehensive eye exam checks two things: how clearly you see, and how healthy your eyes are. Dr. Larson tests your vision at distance and up close, refines your glasses prescription, and examines the front and back of the eye for early signs of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and dry eye.
How does it work?
Your visit starts with a conversation about your eyes, your health and how you use your vision day to day. Then come comfortable tests for visual acuity, prescription, eye pressure, eye teaming and focusing, and a detailed look at the eye's structures. Patients 18 and older can add a wellness OCT scan with the Topcon Maestro for a 3D view of the retina and optic nerve. Glasses can be filled right at the Walmart Vision Center.
What are the benefits?
- An accurate, up-to-date glasses prescription
- Early detection of eye disease, often before symptoms
- Wellness OCT imaging to compare from year to year
- Care for the whole family: kids from age 2 (ideally 4 and up), adults and seniors

Many eye conditions develop quietly. Glaucoma, for example, often causes no pain and no early vision change. Thorough exams with advanced imaging are the simplest way to catch problems early, when they are easiest to treat and manage.

What is a wellness OCT?
An optical coherence tomography scan is a quick, painless 3D image of your retina and optic nerve. It is offered with eye exams for patients 18 and older and helps detect changes early.
How young do you see children?
Dr. Larson sees children as young as 2, and ideally from age 4 and up.
Where do I get my glasses?
Glasses and contact lenses are available right at the Walmart Vision Center where the office is located.
